My son who is 12 fell over in a car dealers and sustained a rather nasty bang on the head, an ambulance was called and he spent six hours in casualty. Some time later he began to have blank episodes and was later diagnosed with epilepsy. The accident happened in December 2001, are we out of time to claim any compensation?
No, you are not out of time. Because your son was under the age of 18 years at the time of the accident he has until he is 21 to pursue a claim for damages for personal injury although as time passes it can be more difficult to obtain the necessary evidence.
